The Friends of York Walls are planning a Summer Festival 2012 around the ramparts and walls. We are seeking to have a planning meeting on Monday 14th November at 7pm in Acomb Fire Station, Boroughbridge Road, York.
Any Friends that can help us with this project are asked to attend this meeting to assist us with the planning, if unable to attend and you have some suggestions please contact Keith Myers our chairman who will collate your suggestions and put them to the planning team.

Charity Stall
On Sunday 13th November, Friends of York Walls will be having a Charity Stall opposite Marks & Spencer on Parliament Street from 9am – 4pm. The purpose of this is to get feedback from members of the public and show our plans for the use of Fishergate Postern tower. Please call in and have a chat with one of the committee.

Talk on The Walls, Friends and Foe
On Tuesday 22nd November at 7.15pm, Chris Dowell will be hosting a presentation at The Bar Convent. Tickets are limited, first come first served! Free admission!
The talk and presentation entitled “The Walls, Friends and Foe”, will be followed by a discussion on what Friends of York Walls have planned for next year.
Friends of York Walls in association with British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, Buglife, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and City of York Council spent October 13th planting wildflower plugs into the existing grassland to increase the wildflower diversity on the city wall embankments.
